Dr. Martin (Marty) Evers

Dr. Evers was commissioned in the United States Navy as a recipient of the Health Professions Scholarship Program. After graduating from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in 2002, he completed a general practice residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego. Following general dentistry officer tours in Okinawa, Japan and Beaufort, South Carolina he was selected for specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. He was privileged to complete his residency at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and thereafter completed his board certification in 2013. From 2017 to 2020, he was appointed by the Navy Surgeon General as the advisor and Navy specialty leader for Oral Radiology. He finished his 21 year Navy career with assignments in Portsmouth, Virginia, Camp Pendleton, California, and Naples, Italy, retiring in 2023.

He enjoys spending time with his family and all things sports.
