Dr. Peter T. Green obtained his D.M.D. degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. During dental school he served as a teaching assistant for gross anatomy and neuroanatomy, and also worked in the Division of Oral Pathology's biopsy service. Upon graduation, Dr. Green was awarded membership into Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. He pursued an additional three years of specialty training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned a certificate and M.S. degree in oral and maxillofacial radiology. His master's thesis research investigated the diagnostic efficacy of superimposing CBCT scans to evaluate changes in alveolar bone morphology over time. During his time at UNC he also worked to publish case reports on pathology seen on advanced imaging within the maxillofacial complex. Prior to pursuing dentistry, he performed research in pharmacology and molecular toxicology and has been included in multiple publications. In addition to working as a consultant for Dental Radiology Diagnostics, he serves as an adjunct professor in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences at UNC-Chapel Hill and is a Dentsply Sirona 3D Trainer. Dr. Green is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.
