Dr. Jake Phillips
CAPT Phillips was granted commission in the United States Navy Dental Corp in 1993. He retired from active duty in 2020 as the Staff
Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist at Naval Medical Center San Diego, CA. While serving active duty he was selected for Residency training and awarded his M.S. degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill in 2014.
His military, private practice, and academic career span 40 years. Prior to his military service he was in private practice in Sandusky, MI. He received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry in 1987. His military assignments include: Dental Officer U.S. Fleet Hospital - Five Zagreb, Croatia (AUG 1994 - FEB
1995), Dental Department Head USS Kearsarge LHD-3 (JUN 1995 - JUL 1997), and his final overseas tour as Medical and Dental Plans Officer, Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq (APR – OCT 2005).
